When I designed this collection in 2009 I never thought it would ever be photographed in a new way 12years later.

It was part of my semester collection at fashion school and I wanted to design something that Bonnie (from Bonnie and Clyde) would have worn. Basically casually robbing banks in style (apparently they robbed mainly small corner shops but that’s beside the point). I wanted it to be elegant & sleek yet feminine. I didn’t see her as just a side kick for even one second.

When Emil F. said he wanted to photograph these outfits in a more modern way I had to say yes obviously. They were re-invented with new accessories and new models (they were tailored made for the models in 2009) which was the perfect way to show that fashion can always be re-invented - and should be.
